At the 2007 NCPTW, a panel discussed NCPTW history from a number of perspectives. On the panel, there were directors and past tutors who discussed the particular experiences they've had with NCPTW. Through these experiences, members of the panel and the audience began to tell a story of important moments in NCPTW history that not only depict the spirit of this conference but also document the events and decisions that shaped what the National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing has become. We wish to keep this conversation going. The NCPTW invites you to upload your NCPTW story on this site to add to this ongoing project. To upload a word document, please goto http://docs.ncptw.org. The original prompts from the panel discussion are available below to give you an idea of how others have shaped their response to this request.
PROMPT:
I would like you to recall a
NCPTW moment or memory that you feel is significant for either (A) the history
of NCPTW or (B) the reason why this conference continues to promote success in
undergraduates’ experiences and research. How you choose to respond
to one or both of these is completely up to you. Please respond with your moments/memories uploading them on the NCPTW website (http://docs.ncptw.org). Through documenting this information, we hope to eventually construct a well-informed history of the conference since no history of NCPTW has been published to date. All contributions to this project will be attributed to the writer. Thank you in advance for your participation and your help on this project!
